ABOUT THIS SITE
by Kristine Erickson
This website is a labor of love by one person, and I am solely responsible for its content.
I owe an immeasurable debt of gratitude to the Heimlich family, who have poured out their lives in service to their friends and neighbors, to their church and community. Their friendship and support have blessed me and my family for 35 years. In sickness and in health, through joy and sorrow, they are among the few we can always count on. I have never known anyone more hardworking and trustworthy.
My labor on this site has also been fueled by my fury at the American media, whose eagerness to condemn Luke Heimlich has blinded them to their own relentless abuse of a family, a community, a university, and millions of people like me who were sexually molested in childhood.
The beginning of the end for the televised Army-McCarthy hearings came on June 9, 1954, when the Army lawyer reached the end of his rope and said this to McCarthy: “Let us not assassinate this lad further, Senator. You’ve done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?”
